About the OrangeSafe Riding Course

Q1. When does the OrangeSafe Riding Course commence?
A1. The programme starts on 5 July 2014.

Q2. Who can register and attend the OrangeSafe Riding course?
A2. Only NTUC Income (Income) Motorcycle policyholders are eligible to sign up for the OrangeSafe Riding Course. Each policyholder will be able to sign up and attend this course once. Multiple registrations will not be allowed.

Q3. Do I have to pay a fee to attend the OrangeSafe Riding Course?
A3. This course is free for all Income Motorcycle policyholders. Each policyholder may attend this course once.

Q4. When and how can I register for the OrangeSafe Riding Course?
A4. You can sign up for the OrangeSafe Course via the OrangeSafe website: www.income.com.sg/orangesafe. You can register for your preferred course date and time up to three months in advance.

Q5. Can I reschedule my OrangeSafe Riding Course after registering for the course?
A5. You can submit your request to reschedule your course to orangesafe@income.com.sg. However, the request must be submitted two weeks before the scheduled course date. Regrettably, non-attendance will be deemed as no-show and you will not be allowed to sign up for subsequent courses.

Q6. What will happen if I do not show up for the course that I have registered for?
A6. We regret that if you do not show up for the course, you will not be able to register and attend future courses and will not be able to enjoy the 10% premium discount upon renewal of your motorcycle insurance policy.

Q7. If I am feeling unwell on the day of the course and am unable to attend, can I re-register for an alternative class?
A7. If you are unable to attend the class due to medical reasons, please submit your medical certificate to orangesafe@income.com.sg to allow for re-registration. If you do not submit your medical certificate, it will be treated as a no-show and you will not be able to re-register.

Q8. When can I receive my electronic certificate (e-certificate)?
A8. You will receive your e-certificate within 7 working days of your course attendance. You must complete the entire course before receiving your e-certificate.

About the 10% discount ^

Q1. I have completed the OrangeSafe Riding Course. Can I offset the 10% discount off my current Motorcycle Insurance policy with Income?
A1. The 10% discount can either be used (a) upon the next Motorcycle Insurance policy renewal or (b) for purchase of a new Motorcycle Insurance policy with Income. This is valid for all Motorcycle Insurance policies issued under the name of the policyholder. You are not able to offset the 10% discount on the current Motorcycle Insurance Policy.

Q2. Is the 10% discount applicable to all Income policyholders?
A2. No. This 10% discount is only applicable to Income Motorcycle Insurance policyholders who have successfully completed the OrangeSafe Riding Course.

Q3. What are the Income Motorcycle Insurance plans that qualify for the discount?
A3. The 10% discount is applicable to motorcycles insured under the comprehensive, third party fire & theft or third party plans.

Q4. Is the 10% discount applicable to all my Motorcycle Insurance policies with Income?
A4. Yes. The 10% discount is applicable to all your Motorcycle policies insured with Income but it is valid for one-time use only. It has to be utilised within 1 year from the date of OrangeSafe Riding Course e-certificate.

Q5. If I decide to take up a private car insurance policy with Income instead of Motorcycle Insurance policy, is the discount applicable for the renewal of my private car insurance policy?
A5. The 10% discount is applicable for Motorcycle Insurance only. It is not applicable to private car, commercial vehicle or bus insurance.

Q6. Is the discount entitlement transferable to my family members or friends?
A6. No. The 10% discount is not transferrable as this campaign aims to promote safe riding on a motorcycle. Upon successful completion of the OrangeSafe Riding Course, the trainee will enjoy a discount on his/her insurance premium.

Q7. How do I qualify for the discount?
A7. To qualify for the discount, you must be an existing or new Income Motorcycle Insurance policyholder and you must have successfully completed the Income OrangeSafe Riding Course.

Q8. Is the 10% discount applicable for all my subsequent Motorcycle Insurance policy renewals with Income?
A8. No. The discount is only applicable for one-time use on your new or existing Motorcycle Insurance policy due for renewal with Income. The discount must be utilised within 1 year from the date of the OrangeSafe Riding Course e-certificate.

Q9. Can I use the discount on my existing Income Motorcycle Insurance policy immediately upon successful completion of the OrangeSafe Riding Course?
A9. The discount is only applicable upon the next renewal or new signup of Income Motorcycle Insurance policy upon successful completion of the OrangeSafe Riding Course.

Q10. Can I use the discount when I renew my Motorcycle Insurance online?
A10. Yes. For renewal of existing Motor Insurance policy, the 10% discount will be reflected on your renewal letter and you may renew your policy online. You may also present the e-certificate of the OrangeSafe Riding Course or quote the e-certificate number when you renew or buy via our branches, hotline number 6789 9595 or through our agents, to enjoy the 10% discount.

Q11. Can I use the discount when I apply for a new Motorcycle Insurance online?
A11. No. Unfortunately, the 10% discount is not applicable for new sign ups via our website. However, you may present the e-certificate of the OrangeSafe Riding Course at our branches or quote the e-certificate number when you purchase your Motorcycle Insurance policy via our branches, telesales hotline at 6789 9595 or through our agents, to enjoy the 10% discount.
